Hope Smith delivers another One Two Punch... Takes Another Championship with Delila in the Adult Jumpers

With her dynamic duo Max and Delila, Hope continues her winning streak. Taking chances and making inside cuts seems to be her MO this year and it is paying off in spades. Having always been a “contender”, Hope is delivering constancy in her 16th year riding with Laura.

Maisie continues to make strides with the great Renoir

Winning her first under saddle in a 40 horse field, breaking the 80 score barrier in the Taylor Harris Medal Class, Maisie keeps improving in her first year after her transition from ponies to horses. We look forward to seeing her in the jumper ring! Good luck Maisie!

Splash – They are not Pets?

Sidelined for a couple of weeks, Meg Turecamo is Sea Aire’s biggest cheerleader especially when it comes to Significant. Taking a first with Kelsey in the under saddle a second, third, fifth and sixth with Sandy Farrell in the Non-Thorobred Division Splash continues his winning ways and awaits Megs return to the saddle - he will settle for some nuzzling for now!

Heads up at the Baby Doc “Laura”

The sidewalks of WEF have become more crowded than the schooling areas, filled with pregnant equestrians, Laura, Molly, Danielle and Holly, all are part of the elite pregnant riders’ class.

Michele Jacob & Jeffery Begin to Hit Their Stride

Though starting late this season Michele and Jeffery begin to get results in weeks five and six. Together for a few years this beautiful combination has what it takes to get top ribbons. Consistency is their goal for this season.

Special guests Kira Kerkorian, Olivia & Lilly Greenwood

Kira Kerkorian, and Olivia & Lilly Greenwood made their marks at WEF for the two weeks they were here.

Kira placed in the children’s jumpers as well as the children’s hunters on her own horse Blitzen as well as several other horses… Congratulations to Kira and her trainer Harriet DeLeyer on a very successful two weeks!

 

Marley the Greenwood’s great pony did double duty, carrying six-year old Lilly to ribbons in the walk and walk trot and then scoring an 86 with older sister Olivia in the children’s pony hunter. Congratulations to the Greenwoods trainer Jenn Bowery!
